Quadball Australia Staff Positions Descriptions

In 2020 Quadball Australia developed a strategic plan to give the organisation direction and focus for the next five years. The board of directors have used this plan to develop a volunteer structure for the next 18 months.

Each committee, overseen by a Director, has active projects which are lead by a coordinator who works with junior volunteers to execute the tasks of the project.

Volunteers will be provided with clear goals and specific tasks with set deadlines to work within. All volunteers will be able to decide how much time and commitment they are able and willing to give to any committee they join, and tasks will be provided to them based on their capacity.

The Elite committee has been proposed to help shape the future of elite Quadball in Australia. The QA board has identified the following 4 goals:

  1. Review the Current State of Elite Quadball: Analyse the current landscape using data from recent player/staff feedback processes to identify strengths and weaknesses of our current structure.

  2. Assess the Standing Squad Model: Investigate whether a standing squad is fit for purpose in Australia, including identifying benefits and drawbacks, taking into account the realities of geographical spread, the size of our player base and financial constraints.

  3. Revamp the Selection Process: Refine and improve the selection process for both staff positions and players, collaborating closely with the Diversity, Inclusivity, and Community Engagement committee. Develop selection rubrics that promote inclusivity and equal opportunity for all, while considering our unique circumstances.

  4. Support the QA Board: Provide recommendations to the QA board regarding timelines for elite Quadball campaigns to assist with logistic decision-making.
